Why Alexanderplatz matters
"Alex" is the busiest transport hub in central Berlin. More public-transport lines meet here than anywhere else: three U-Bahn lines, four S-Bahn lines, five tram lines and around ten bus lines (including night buses). Almost every destination in Berlin is within 20 minutes' travel:
